Nature was the first to develop sun tracking with some plants and flowers orientating towards the sunlight during the day. For example the bud of a Sunflower orientates towards the sun during each day from East to West to maximise the benefits of the sun. This principle has been applied to the SunStalker to optimise the efficiency of a PV panel. PV panels that track the sun capture a higher amount of energy and therefore produce more power than solar panels installed in a fixed position.
Even though the efficiency of solar panels has improved over the last few years there is still a limit to the amount of energy output which is able to be generated. However using the SunStalker Dual Axis Solar Tracking System substantial extra energy output is able to be achieved.
To explain this visually take a look at the following graph.
